Muhdo, a global epigenetic testing and wellness platform, has agreed a partnership with Secret Network (Secret), the first blockchain to offer confidential computing. The partnership will build a bridge between Secret’s blockchain and Muhdo’s Web3 DNA blockchain to provide true confidential computing on its patient centric platform.
Muhdo was formed in 2017 and currently supports over 60,000 customers worldwide that have completed a saliva based DNA and Epigenetic test with personalised nutrition and lifestyle recommendations to help improve your health. In the new web3 iteration of Muhdo, individuals can, if they wish, monetise their unique genetic, epigenetic and lifestyle data through commercial and research opportunities.
The service will also be provided to corporates and enterprises in the same way health insurance is given to employees. The difference is that Muhdo will offer mass personalisation of preventative health measures through DNA and epigenetic testing and analytics. Muhdo’s vision is to foster individual and corporate health using digitised genetic, epigenetic and lifestyle data to help at every stage of life from pregnancy, infancy, adolescence, adulthood to retirement.
“The Muhdo Web3 DNA blockchain will enable participants to access a marketplace of hyper-personalized health related products and services tailored to meet their health goals. Customers can then pool their anonymised genetic and health data to help contribute to scientific breakthroughs in exchange for rewards. We are partnering with Secret to build a bridge to our blockchain and ensure secure and confidential data can be shared and rewarded with the customer’s opt-in,” says Sam Thompson, COO at Muhdo.
Muhdo is a pioneer in direct-to-consumer epigenetic science, empowering individuals with insights into their genetic makeup to optimize their health and wellness. Through advanced bioinformatics and expert guidance, Muhdo facilitates informed health decisions and fosters a proactive approach to personal health management
“We are very excited to partner with Muhdo and pair personal data with rewards. For the first time, in a commercial setting, people will be able to contribute to advancements in the broader field of scientific research and health product development and be rewarded for their participation,” says Lisa Loud, executive director of Secret Network Foundation. “With the help of confidential computing from Secret, participants will be rewarded directly for their data – a principle that is at the heart of Web3 ethos.”
