Perceived Illness accelerates the ageing process

In most instances, we often just look at ageing in one dimension, which is the representation in time 🕰️ and how many years you have been alive. However, in reality, a multitude of aspects such as diet🥗, stress🤯, exercise🏋️‍♂️, sleep 😴and environment 🌍will affect the rate at which we age.

Muhdo Health genetic

Muhdo Health understands that we all come with a set of genetic 🧬predispositions but according to our lifestyle 🏋️‍♂️🥗🍺🚬and environments 🌍those same predispositions are either diluted or accentuated through a process called Epigenetics.

Epigenetics is the intersection’ between genetics🧬, nutrition🥗, and environment 🌍and how diet, micronutrients, exercise 🏋️‍♂️and sleep 😴can all change the expression of our genes.🧬

Over the course of the last 7 years, we have identified key nutrients and lifestyle interventions from 1000’s time-stamped and series epigenetic 🧬samples, as well as real-time health 🏥and fitness data 🏃‍♀️which have shown clear correlations for their positive effect on reducing biological age.👵🏽

Understanding health can be an extremely complex task if you don’t have all of the pieces of the health puzzle 🧩together in one place.

The first area that we wanted to try and better understand, and possibly correlate was illness (of any metric) per month with biological age.👵🏽

10% answered yes to being ill 🤒monthly. This was extremely interesting, as it showed that people who perceived they were ill 🤒on a monthly basis accelerated their biological age by an average of 8.7 years.

Average chronological age: 33.4

Average biological age: 42.1

Differential: acceleration + 8.7years✅

In comparison, those who said no to being ill 🤒each month had no real significant change to their biological age.

Average chronological age: 39.01

Average biological age: 39.15

Differential: negligible difference

What the results show is that those who feel ill 🤒or perceive to be ill 🤒 each month is correlated to accelerated ageing and therefore those who have an accelerated age may well have an unknown pathology.🩺🥼
